STORY: When her neighbor’s dogs kill 25 of her sheep, a young Japanese American shepherd takes her fight for justice to court—only to find her own claims to belonging put on trial…

YUKI (Lead, Asian, Female, 22-32)

A city kid turned shepherd. Sturdy, stubborn, and sharp as a whip.
 Seeking an actor with a strong physical presence and comfort around animals.

LEVI (Supporting, White, Male or Nonbinary, Queer, 18-24)

A gangly, baby-faced farm kid with boyish charm and a knack for pushing buttons.

TRISH (Supporting, White, Female, 60s)

A formidable, no-nonsense back-to-the-lander and retiring farmer aged by half a century of cigarettes. Gruff but fiercely loving.

JANICE (Supporting, White, Female, 60-80)

The town “witch.” Fiercely independent with a defiant sense of dignity. Tough as nails.

SHERRY (Day Player, White, Female, 50s)

Full time civil servant and part-time Mary Kay saleswoman, Sherry is a hometown gal. Sweetly authoritative.

DEAK (Day Player, White, Male, 50-70)

A man about town, Deak is a contractor with three side businesses going at any one time. A flirt, a busybody, a gossip, but harmless as a fly.

LONG-HAIRED LEERING MAN (Day Player, White, Male, 40-60)

A long haired, mustachioed man with eyes that can stick like flypaper.
